Solar Cable Voltage Drop on Long DC Runs: Sizing Solution
Solar cable voltage drop on long PV DC runs wastes energy and can push a string below the inverter MPPT window. For a 1500 V DC system (H1Z2Z2-K / PV1-F / IEC 62930 at 1.5–1.8 kV), keep total drop under ~2–3%. Fix it by sizing up the cross-section. HuaCable supplies 1.5–6 mm² as standard, larger on request.
